MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy is seeking a pediatric Physical Therapist, who has experience treating physically impaired children. The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services to clients. Services provided may include screening, evaluation, planning individual treatment programs, providing direct treatment, and participating in discharge planning. The Physical Therapist performs other related duties as required.

MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy provides services at our therapy centers across the Metro Detroit area as well as staffing services for Special Education and Healthcare facilities across the state. Our unique strategy to assist others involves many therapy disciplines in one location, creating ease for caregivers of children that may need this approach to succeed. Our services include: ABA Therapy, Feeding/Swallowing Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy & Speech Therapy. Affordable screenings for Speech-Language development, fine & gross motor development, sensory impairment and autism are also offered.
-Graduate of an approved program in Physical Therapy, culminating in the receipt of a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral Degree.
-Is eligible for or is certified by the National Certification Board of the American Physical Therapy Association.
-Current state Physical Therapy licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state(s) where services will be rendered.
-8 hour shifts
-Monday-Friday, typically 9am-6pm
-On referral, provides a wide range of screening and diagnostic tests in order to determine a client's current level of function. Evaluates client to determine the functional problems and goals of each client in cooperation with the physician.
-Develops a treatment program based upon the initial evaluation, including appropriate goals and objectives, and makes appropriate modifications in the program based upon the client's performance.
-Schedules and provides direct client treatment, utilizing appropriate therapeutic techniques.
-Instructs client and/or client's family or care giving staff in appropriate home program techniques. Provides ongoing in-servicing and monitoring of therapeutic programs designed to develop, maintain, prevent regression, or restore physical function.
-Evaluates and facilitates the procurement of any needed equipment or supplies related to the client's treatment plan.
-Maintains clinical records pertinent to individual client treatment; completes required documentation in support of the clinical services provided, as required by MetroEHS and the facility/agency in which you are assigned.
-Coordinates the therapeutic plan with the physician, support staff, teaching staff and/or other appropriate personnel in order to maximize the client's use of functional abilities; communicates information regarding changes or modifications in the treatment plan, or changes in client status.
-Participates in client-specific conferences, or clinical conferences involving a variety of support team members as necessary regarding problems, progress, and ongoing needs of the client.
-By mutual agreement with MetroEHS management staff, provides supervision for Assistants or Aides in accordance with applicable state laws and APTA guidelines.
-Assists with the orientation of new personnel as directly by his/her supervisor
-Assists with Quality Assurance activities.
-Performs other duties and responsibilities appropriate to a Registered Physical Therapist as assigned.
