ABOUT

Saline

A Stunning Place to Live or Work

Southwest of Ann Arbor is a small, picturesque city that often gets overlooked for more bustling suburbs. But Saline, MI, is a gem of the north, with unique festivals and events that you can't find anywhere else.

With just under 9,000 calling Saline home, there's no doubt this is a small town. But what it lacks in size, it makes up for in charm and fun. One of the biggest attractions is the annual Saline Community Fair. The fair features agricultural and craft exhibits, carnival rides, livestock competitions, talent contests, horse shows, live music, a demolition derby, and, of course, lots of delicious food.

Saline also hosts an annual Saline Celtic Festival in July and Oktoberfest in September. The Celtic Festival honors and celebrates the traditional food, music, and culture of Wales, while Oktoberfest is dedicated to traditional German festivities and activities. The Saline Oktoberfest is a family-friendly event that welcomes visitors of all ages.

Saline is also home to many other community events throughout the year. During the months of June and July, the Saline Summer Concert Series brings live music to the heart of downtown Saline every Thursday night. From May until October, you can also enjoy local produce and handcrafted goods at the Saline Main Street Farmers Market. Finally, you can challenge yourself with the annual Saline Summerfest 5k.

If you're ready to explore the outdoors or go for a game of catch, you have plenty of spots to choose from in Saline. The Saline Recreation Center is a popular spot for swimming, basketball, and other athletic activities, but it's not the only place for active fun. You can also explore Mill Pond Park and Curtiss Park to scratch your nature-loving itch.

No matter what piques your interest, you're sure to find something neat within Saline, MI, all year long.
