What steps does MetroEHS take to prioritize the well-being of staff and families?

All employees and clients are required to conduct a self-health screening prior to the beginning of each session.

If your child is showing signs or symptoms of illness, please call and reschedule your appointment. It’s important to remain at home when sick and not return to therapy until fever-free (without fever-reducing medication) for at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

When illness occurs in your household resulting in the cancellation of an in-person appointment, MetroEHS is happy to reschedule or offer you a virtual appointment via Telehealth.

How do you deep clean and disinfect your centers to ensure a healthy environment?

MetroEHS employees routinely clean all frequently touched surfaces in our centers, such as workstations, countertops, tables, toys, and doorknobs, using appropriate cleaning agents.

Facility “deep cleanings” are continuously scheduled in addition to regular commercial cleaning procedures, and daily cleaning checklists.

What child safety procedures are in place at MetroEHS?

Our facilities have Safety Care Trainers on staff at each center and we take the utmost precautions to always protect the kiddos and staff members.

Each of our therapists, technicians and team members are required to have certifications in first aid and CPR so they are equipped to handle most health-related situations.

Additionally, our providers receive de-escalation training to address behavior management issues.

What proactive measures are taken to maintain safety in all your centers?

Our one-to-one therapy approach ensures that a dedicated team member is always with each child to give them full attention and facilitate safe treatment in our large sensory gyms and treatment rooms.

Our lobby doors are locked at all times, which not only ensures security from outsiders but also protects our children who may at times elope or wander.

We practice monthly fire drills and bring in local first responders to assess our procedures to ensure the protection of any person entering our facilities.

Any age! If a child is young or active, the therapy session will be geared towards “parent training”. The therapist will provide materials and coach the parents to implement the goals and provide feedback.
