What can MetroEHS do for me and my educational institution or organization?

MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy prides itself on being the launching ground for some of the best therapists in the country. Many have successful careers working for MetroEHS today! MetroEHS clinics can be on your shortlist of recommended sites where your students can earn observation hours, participate in internships, and enjoy fellowships alongside our current employees.

Does MetroEHS offer speech therapy clinical fellowships?

We do offer clinical fellowships. In fact, we LOVE our CFs! Placement is limited, however. Our advice is to apply early. MetroEHS assigns each clinical fellow a mentor to supervise. You will have the opportunity to observe several experienced speech therapists in action giving you broad experience and plenty of opportunities to learn how to best serve the pediatric population. Can MetroEHS partner with my bachelors or master's program?

Yes! MetroEHS works with several universities for fieldwork placements and observations.

Does MetroEHS take LEND students?

Yes! MI-LEND is a consortium of 7 universities in Michigan. Their long-term program requires 300 hours (about 2 weeks) of clinical, community, and didactic training. They are excited to partner with Metro for their students to do observation hours across disciplines. Please contact us to arrange observations of different disciplines. What type of therapy does MetroEHS specialize in?

MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy believes strongly that compassionate, collaborative care is the best care for our clients. For this reason, we provide ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Mental Health Therapy, Feeding Therapy- both picky eating and Intensive Feeding Therapy, Pelvic Floor Therapy, Interoceptive Therapy, and much more.

Does MetroEHS offer continuing education programs?

MetroEHS provides unlimited Continuing Education benefits for full time therapists. We encourage all our employees to be life-long learners staying on the cutting edge of their individual crafts.

Does MetroEHS offer career paths for entry level clinicians?

MetroEHS absolutely offers career paths for entry level clinicians! In fact, many of our Therapy Managers and Directors got their start with MetroEHS! Since our owner is also a therapist, she intentionally created an environment where all therapists have room to grow and advance in the company.

Does MetroEHS offer observation or shadowing opportunities for future Physical or Occupational Therapists?

MetroEHS provides supervision of unpaid shadowing opportunities which is required for all undergraduate students seeking to apply for Physical or Occupational Therapy graduate programs. Does MetroEHS offer PT clinical internships or rotations?

MetroEHS offers opportunities for your final rotations after all your graduate coursework is complete. We are open to becoming an affiliate with new programs. We currently are affiliated with GVSU, Seton Hill University, University of Michigan – Flint, and the University of Toledo.

Can I earn ABA Practicum hours at MetroEHS?

For an ABA Practicum student to begin earning paid unrestricted hours, they must first complete a minimum of 800 documented restricted hours and pass a competency assessment with a score greater than 90%. Up to 15 unrestricted hours will be paid per week, and they are compensated at their normal hourly pay rate.  

Does MetroEHS have BCBA supervisors readily available?

MetroEHS has multiple supervisors readily available. Earning practicum hours with MetroEHS grants you the opportunity to work alongside, learn from, and observe several different supervisors. However, while we have several qualified supervisors, space is limited and competitive. Apply now!

Can I get Physician Assistance or CNA hours?

Yes, hours earned at MetroEHS clinics qualifies toward PA, as well as CNA required practicum hours.

Does MetroEHS offer a tuition reimbursement program?

If you are employed as a Behavior Technician with MetroEHS and are entering a Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Physical Therapy Program, you may be eligible for our tuition assistance program. Check with HR for details.
