Excellent speech and occupational therapy services provided for my 4yo son with autism and speech delay. They are patient centered and encouraging. Excellent place for therapy. Always willing to work with our schedule!

My son started here a little over a month ago and he loves it. He gets excited when we arrive. The staff is very good at communicating with me about his day. I get a daily written report telling me everything from when and what he ate to when he went potty. I also like how calm the clinic environment seems. My son’s previous clinic was very overstimulating even for me. I am welcome to shadow sessions as well which makes me feel very comfortable. I really like how they have physical therapy here as well, that was a bit difficult for me to find within an ABA clinic.

My daughter has been going to MetroEHS since 2020. The whole staff is just amazing. They truly care . She loves going. When she first started she was in ABA , speech and OT but now only goes for speech. She’s made amazing progress and I give MetroEHS the credit for that.

I'm working on a teaching certification for emotionally impaired students, and one of my class' requirements was to observe a speech pathologist. Metro EHS very graciously allowed me to observe for six hours, during which time I saw several sessions between clients and different speech pathologists. I was very impressed with the professionalism, skill, and care displayed by all of the staff at Metro EHS. I have been working with special needs children and young adults for about a decade, so I'm familiar with this population and their unique needs and challenges. The Metro EHS staff did a fantastic job when I was observing. If I had a child with a speech pathology, I would certainly trust Metro EHS to provide excellent speech pathology services.

So thankful to have their great staff working with my son. He has come so far with his speech and fine motor skills over the last 2 years. The therapists are wonderful and always give constructive feedback after each session. I feel so fortunate to have such caring experts working with him. Additionally, they are very well organized and excellent communicators in the office.

ABOUT

Sterling Heights & Sterling Heights ABA Therapy

A Stunning Place to Live or Work

Just north of Detroit in Macomb County, Sterling Heights is one of Michigan’s most vibrant suburban communities. With residents from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and walks of life, the city has become an appealing place for Sterling Heights families looking for convenient access to Metro Detroit while still enjoying a comfortable suburban setting.

Sterling Heights offers the best of both worlds. Families are only a short drive from many of Detroit’s best-known attractions, including the Detroit Zoo, Motown Museum, and major professional sports venues, while still having access to plenty of green space, parks, and recreational activities closer to home.

Local destinations such as Dodge Park provide space for playgrounds, picnics, community events, and outdoor recreation, while the Sterling Heights Nature Center offers hiking trails, nature exhibits, and educational programs for children and adults. These family-friendly resources can be especially valuable as parents support each stage of their child’s journey, from early development and school readiness to finding additional services when developmental concerns arise.

For families navigating an autism diagnosis or looking for support related to autism spectrum disorder, access to local pediatric therapy resources can make an important difference. Services such as Applied Behavior Analysis, speech therapy, and care guided by a board certified behavior analyst may all play a role in an individualized treatment plan. Early intervention is crucial for maximizing the effectiveness of ABA therapy, particularly when services are tailored to a child’s developmental needs and family goals.

ABA therapy is recognized as a standard of care for many children with autism, with treatment plans designed around each child’s individual strengths, challenges, and goals. Sessions are typically one-to-one with a dedicated therapist, allowing skills and strategies to be individualized and adjusted over time. Depending on a child’s needs, treatment intensity for comprehensive ABA programs can require significant weekly hours, while other children may benefit from a less intensive approach.

When families are ready to start ABA therapy, finding a convenient provider close to home can help make ongoing appointments easier to incorporate into everyday life. Working with a clinical team can also help parents understand recommended treatment intensity, goals, progress, and how therapy can support skills across home, school, and community settings.

Sterling Heights also offers a broad mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment. Families can explore retail destinations throughout the area, including The Mall at Partridge Creek and other nearby shopping centers, while the city’s diverse population is reflected in restaurants serving cuisines from around the world.

For parents searching for a Sterling Heights learning center or pediatric therapy provider, location is only part of the decision. The right program should consider each child’s individual strengths, needs, and goals. There is no single treatment many families will find appropriate for every child, which is why personalized recommendations, ongoing assessment, and collaboration with parents are so important.

With its convenient Metro Detroit location, family-friendly amenities, diverse community, and access to developmental resources, Sterling Heights offers families many of the services and opportunities they need close to home.
